Travis Rice Bio

Travis Rice born October 9, 1982 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is considered by many to be among the best snowboarders in the world today. He has excellent all-around skills in backcountry, park, and pipe, and is known for his massive airs and fearless approach to difficult tricks. Waltzing into his first Winter X Games competition, and going home with the gold medal in slopestyle marked his professional snowboarding breakout in 2002.

Rice is also renowned for his creativity and relentless motivation as a filmmaker. He has channeled his passion for the mountains and the art of snowboarding into the production of his best-selling snowboard film "Community Project" and the upcoming "Shedding Light". Despite his non-stop travel schedule and the pressures of being a world-famous professional athlete, Travis remains a positive and inspiring role model for his fans.
